This application offers the same core functionality as the complimentary Marine Barometer app available on the App Store, while introducing several noteworthy enhancements. For an overview of the basic features, users may consider familiarizing themselves with the free Marine Barometer app prior to exploring this more advanced version.

Key improvements in the Marine Barograph app include:
<ul>
 <li>Automatic recording of atmospheric pressure at all times while the app is active, including background usage, alongside time, date, GPS position, course over ground (COG), and speed over ground (SOG).</li>
 <li>Graphical representation of pressure data over various intervals, ranging from 30 minutes to 16 days. Users can interact with the graphs through pinch zooming and panning for detailed views, with quick resets available via double-tap.</li>
 <li>User-friendly large digital displays designed for visibility at a distance, featuring prominent trend arrows for pressure data older than one hour.</li>
 <li>A calculated official pressure tendency displayed within a three-hour window, assisting users in comprehending the pressure tendency characteristic code utilized in official ship reports.</li>
 <li>Options to customize pressure displays (sea level or station), precision settings, and latitude/longitude formats.</li>
</ul>

The application allows users to view stored data directly or export it based on desired time ranges. This data effectively functions as a log for voyages or land travel, incorporating navigation information alongside atmospheric pressure metrics. Additionally, GPS tracking can be exported as a GPX file for compatibility with navigation software or Google Earth.

Furthermore, the app is capable of wirelessly sharing both pressure and position data with nearby devices. This information is broadcasted via Wi-Fi in UDP mode on a user-selected port, making the app a reliable supplementary source of positioning or pressure information for other navigation programs or devices, which enhances its utility as a backup to conventional electronic charting systems.

Users can also repurpose older devices, such as an iPhone 6 or newer, transforming them into a standalone electronic barograph and voyage data logger by simply installing the app and connecting to power for continuous operation.

A comprehensive Help file is included within the app, detailing operation guidelines and insights on leveraging atmospheric pressure in navigation.
